The Canada Branch has offices in Montreal and Toronto providing financial services to Canadian Financial Institutions, Banks, Pension Funds & SSA and to large Canadian headquartered international corporations. It’s local set up include Corporate & Investment bankers in Coverage, Sustainable Finance and International Transaction Banking working with all product lines and geographies from Crédit Agricole CIB and Crédit Agricole Group entities to support the global ambitions of our clients.

Crédit Agricole Services & Operations is hosting a part of all Crédit Agricole CIB’s support functions, from KYC, Back Offices, Risk, IT, Legal or Finance supporting our growing operations in the Americas and complementing our European and Asian operations platforms in a “follow the sun” approach. The local teams are developing into a solid workforce integrated in the Americas support set up and complemented by the teams of our IT partners.

Crédit Agricole CIB Canada offers its world leading expertise in structured finance such as renewable energy project finance, sustainable transportation and mobility, shipping, aircraft and real estate finance.

Through Crédit Agricole CIB’s extensive international network, the Canada branch advises clients in merger and acquisition (M&A), debt and rating advisory for strategic investments and offers investment banking solutions for equity and debt capital markets.

Crédit Agricole CIB Canada also offers corporate finance services such as trade finance, securitisation, export finance, working capital solutions, loan syndication and global markets hedging solutions.

The Bank also offers sustainable banking products and services to clients for their social and environmental projects.

The Crédit Agricole Group International Business Solutions "North America" team assists Crédit Agricole's small and mid-cap corporate clients with their international operations, by providing expertise and connections to the local environment as well as by securing access to a wide spectrum of banking services.

Some Group companies have had a presence in Canada in the past, but this was before they became part of Crédit Agricole. Crédit Lyonnais had a financial subsidiary and a lease finance subsidiary in the country between 1975 and 2001. Meanwhile, Banque Indosuez had a Canadian operation between 1982 and 1994 consisting of a representative office and capital management subsidiaries. 

Crédit Agricole CIB Canada was a representative office until it opened as a Branch in 2015 with an office in Montreal and a second office in Toronto in 2018.

Amundi, a sister company of Crédit Agricole CIB and the European leader in Asset Management has a presence in Canada since 2007.

CACEIS Canada opened in 2013 with a “follow the sun” approach and grew significantly in 2024 after the acquisition of the European activities of Royal Bank of Canada Investors Services (RBC IS).
