CACIB has extensive experience as a financial advisor and mandated lead arranger in the global infrastructure sector.
Our global leadership in infrastructure has been regularly recognised by prestigious awards won in recent years, in particular Infrastructure Investor's Global Bank of the Year award for 4 consecutive years.

Our activities cover the core and core-plus infrastructure sectors, including regulated utility assets, privately owned non-regulated assets and traditional Public-Private-Partnership ("PPP") models, in sectors as diverse as transport (roads, airports, ports, rail and light rail), social infrastructure (hospitals, universities...), circular economy (energy from waste), water (desalination, distribution, wastewater), energy transition (e-mobility, smart meters...), energy distribution (regulated networks, regulated storage...).

We support our clients in a wide range of contexts involving infrastructure assets or companies, working alongside our Global Investment Banking or DCM teams when necessary: public tenders, asset acquisitions or disposals, public-to-private, refinancings on the banking and/or capital markets.

We have teams dedicated to infrastructure in Paris, London and New York. Other EIG teams include professionals with extensive infrastructure experience.

Resources & Industry

The Resources & Industry Group plays a key role in the Bank's commitment to supporting its clients in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

With a focus on providing advisory, structuring and financing solutions, particularly in the energy and natural resources sectors, including the oil and gas value chain and metals and mining, Resources & Industry extends its support across various stages, from mining to metals transformation and downstream operations.

Resources & Industry has a strong focus on promoting low-carbon solutions such as carbon capture and storage, low-carbon fuels (including hydrogen and its derivatives), the EV battery value chain, green steel and the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate industries.

In addition, the Resources & Industry Group has a long and established track record in structured and project finance, with specific expertise in financing the full spectrum of energy and natural resources globally. This expertise is further enhanced by drawing on the knowledge and skills of project finance teams based in Europe, the Americas and APAC. The group is also supported by a dedicated team of engineers who carefully assess the technical aspects of transactions, particularly emerging energy transition technologies.

Since its first electric power plant financing in the early 1990s, Crédit Agricole CIB has financed more than 700 power deals. Its long-term commitment in the electric power sector has given the bank a recognized experience on both regulated and unregulated markets throughout the world.

We have experienced all types of technologies: conventional (open cycle, combined cycle gas turbine, cogeneration, transmission lines, distribution networks…), mainstream renewable (on/offshore wind, solar PV, concentrated thermosolar, geothermal…) or new frontier (distributed power generation, utility-scale battery storage, floating-offshore wind, floating PV, electricity for green H2…). The diversity of technologies we support gives us a deep understanding of the electricity sector dynamics and strengthens our expertise.

We have demonstrated strong capacities in both financing and advisory in multiple context: development and construction of new greenfield units; refinancing, consolidations or expansion of existing ones; acquisition of portfolios; full or partial divestment of assets; bid advisory for successful strategy.

With the electrification of the economy, our client base is much wider than the traditional power utilities. We support Oil & Gas majors in their energy transition, institutional investors (infra funds, insurance companies, pension funds…) in their financing/acquisition of power assets, as well as small independent power producers in their growth trajectory.
