<body><subtitle-block>Foundations: 1870s – 1960s</subtitle-block>Driven by the Franco-Prussian War, Crédit Lyonnais opened a branch in the City of London in 1870, when London stood as the world’s financial capital. This move marked the Bank’s first step into the international arena, confirming its global ambitions from an early stage. Just three years later, in 1873, the newly established London branch was put to the test by a stock market crash. Despite this turmoil, Crédit Lyonnais established itself as a key player in Franco-British financing, particularly in the rapidly growing industrial and railway sectors. By 1881, the Bank had earned recognition for funding major European infrastructure projects.<figure @class="image"><img @height="489" @src="https://ca-cib.celum.cloud/photo-archive-1_47467_CDN_images.jpg" @style="aspect-ratio:1406/489;" @width="1406"></img></figure><legend>Crédit Lyonnais’ London office, 1913</legend> But history brought challenges. The First World War (1914–1918) disrupted European banking and financial relations, forcing London branches to adapt. In the 1920s, Crédit Lyonnais made a determined comeback, combining French expertise with a deep understanding of the British market. By then, it was financing international companies and establishing a strong presence in the City. As Europe faced the Second World War, London became a high-risk zone and international activity declined dramatically. Cross-border transaction restrictions forced the branch to focus primarily on local operations and asset preservation. It was in this context that, in the 1940s, the French government tasked Banque de l’Indochine with opening a London branch to help maintain operations in the sterling zone: “The coordination of Franco-British efforts, both in the economic sphere and in the military field [...] clearly justifies these measures without the need for further emphasis.” (annual report, financial year 1940). After 1945, Crédit Lyonnais gradually returned to the international stage, rebuilding its presence in global finance and establishing the foundations for the Group’s modern international network. <subtitle-block>Expansion and diversification: 1970s – 1980s</subtitle-block>The 1970s marked the beginning of a new wave of growth in the UK. In 1976, Crédit Lyonnais relocated to 30 Cannon Street, establishing a presence at the heart of the City. Diversification defined the late 1970s and early 1980s. In 1975, Banque de l’Indochine merged with Banque de Suez to form Banque Indosuez. Then, in 1984, Crédit Agricole opened its own London branch, thereby strengthening its presence in the UK. These developments paved the way for unification when, in 2003, Crédit Agricole acquired Crédit Lyonnais and the two banks merged to form Calyon. This was a decisive step in establishing a stronger, more unified group presence in London. <subtitle-block>Transformation and Innovation: 2010 onwards</subtitle-block>Since 2010, Crédit Agricole CIB has developed a modern, global identity, strengthening its presence in London across capital markets, financing, investment banking, and securities services. The creation of Amundi and the transformation of Calyon into Crédit Agricole CIB in 2010 marked the beginning of a unified Group identity. Building on this momentum, CACEIS expanded its presence in the UK in 2013 by opening a sales office in London, and later established a custodian bank branch to reinforce its commitment to local clients. Throughout periods of uncertainty – such as the 2016 Brexit referendum – the Group has demonstrated resilience and long-term commitment to the UK market. More recently, the acquisition of Wealth Dynamix by Indosuez Wealth Management in 2023 and the launch of CA Auto Finance have highlighted our capacity to innovate and diversify. Today, in 2025, Crédit Agricole in the UK brings together six entities and 1,600 professionals under one banner. <body>On the recommendation of Chief Executive Officer Jean-François Balaÿ, the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole CIB has appointed Stéphane Ducroizet as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of financing activities as of November 1st, 2025. Natacha Gallou will take over his role as Senior Regional Officer for the Americas, effective October 1st, 2025. They both remain members of Crédit Agricole CIB’s Executive Committee.Eric de Lambilly replaces Natacha Gallou as Head of Risk and Permanent Control as of October 1st, 2025. He reports functionally to Jean-François Balaÿ, and hierarchically to Valérie Wanquet, the Group Chief Risk Officer, and joins Crédit Agricole CIB’s Executive Committee. <subtitle-block>BIOGRAPHIES</subtitle-block>Stéphane Ducroizet began his career in 1993 at Crédit Lyonnais’ Corporate Banking groups in Paris. After four years within the Telecoms Finance team in Paris, he joined the Media & Communications Group at Calyon Americas in New York in 2002 and then the Specific Assets Securitisation Group in 2006. In 2007 he was appointed Head of Telecom Finance EMEA before taking on global responsibility for the division in 2009. In 2015, he created the Corporate Acquisition Finance department for which he assumed global responsibility, before being appointed Global Head of Acquisition Finance and Advisory. In January 2019, he became Global Head of the Real Estate & Lodging department before becoming Head of Risk and Permanent Control in September of the same year. In 2021, he became Deputy General Manager in charge of Risk and Permanent Control and then Senior Regional Officer for the Americas region at the end of 2022. Stéphane Ducroizet graduated from the Hautes Etudes de Commerce (HEC) school of Paris.Natacha Gallou joined Indosuez in 1992 as an account manager on corporate portfolios. In 2000, she joined the Distressed Asset division as an advisory and restructuring Officer in Paris and then in London. In 2007, Natacha joined the Risk Management department where she first took on the role of Deputy Head of Counterparty Risk Control and Monitoring, before becoming Chief Operating Officer of the Corporate Individual Risk Management department. In 2016, she was appointed Global Head of Corporate Risk for Asset Finance, Energy and Diversified Industries and then became Global Head of Risk & Permanent Control - Sectors, Corporate and Structured Financing in 2019. She was appointed Global Head of Risk and Permanent Control in 2022 and Deputy General Manager in March 2023 with responsibility over the same scope. Natacha Gallou graduated from HEC Lausanne.Eric de Lambilly joined Crédit Agricole Indosuez in 1997, as a market risk analyst. In 2000, he was appointed Head of Market Risk Methodology in Paris, then Head of Market Risk for the Americas region in New-York in 2005. In 2009, Eric was appointed Local Chief Risk Officer in London, before becoming Global Head of Market Risk in 2013. In 2017, he was appointed Global Head of Market Risk and Counterparty Risk (MCR) in Paris. He became Chief Operating Officer for market activities in 2018 before taking responsibility for Risk and Permanent Control activities for the Asia-Pacific region. Eric de Lambilly graduated from the Ecole Centrale of Paris. </body>
