In line with the Crédit Agricole Group, Crédit Agricole CIB has taken specific measures to ensure the safety and health of our employees and the continuity of our client's activities.

Latest update: 7th April, 2020

In accordance with the French government’s announcement imposing house confinement on the French population, Crédit Agricole CIB has taken the following measures for its activity in France, effective March 17, 2020, in line with the measures of the Crédit Agricole Group:

  • To ensure the continuity of its client activities, only employees whose activity is considered critical and who cannot operate remotely, will come to work either in the Bank’s premises or in the recovery sites;
  • All other employees work from home;
  • Visitor access to the Bank’s premises is no longer allowed.

This set up has already been activated in some European countries, such as Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom, and in the Americas – except Brazil where teams are working on a rotational schedule. In Asia-Pacific, the teams are split between the Bank’s premises and recovery sites or work from home, with the exception of Australia where the whole team works from home. Similar measures are ready to be deployed in other countries where the Bank is located if necessary.

Sanitary measures have also been reinforced to protect employees who work in the Bank’s premises or in the recovery sites: office spaces are regularly cleaned, hand sanitisers and disinfectant wipes are distributed whenever necessary, safe work spacing is increased between co-workers, and meetings are done via conference call only.

At a global level, all employees’ business trips are prohibited until further notice, and remote communications solutions are encouraged (telephone, video conference, emails, etc.) whenever possible.

Preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus have been put in place in all our entities to ensure our employees’ health and safety, as well as the continuity of service to our clients globally.
