<body>Aubert & Duval (A&D) has raised a €51.1 million green loan insured by Bpifrance Assurance Export, acting on behalf of, in the name of and under the control of the French State, under the Strategic Projects Insurance (“GPS”) scheme. This loan is used to finance A&D’s investment in a 6,000-ton press and related industrial equipment at Pamiers (Ariège). The financing was set up by Crédit Agricole CIB, acting as ESG coordinator, sole mandated lead arranger, lender and agent of the Facility. This investment will notably allow the production in France of the most critical parts for the aeronautics market, in particular the structural and engine parts of the next generation of aircraft. On a constant activity perimeter, the project allows Aubert & Duval to decarbonize its business, with a fully electrified furnace fleet for heating rooms. The support provided by the public authorities through the implementation of a loan covered by a GPS and the granting of grants from France 2030 plan by ADEME and Bpifrance, made it possible to launch this project, which is crucial for the entire European aeronautics sector.  The Strategic Projects Insurance is the insurance product of Bpifrance Assurance Export, enabling the financing of operations carried out by a French company and of strategic interest to the French economy in France and abroad. GPS helps Aubert & Duval invest in a new tool for the production of high-performance parts that meet several critical challenges in the aeronautics sector and facilitate this sector to be more sustainable and competitive for export. <body>The Carbon Transport and Storage project in UK’s Liverpool Bay area will operate as the backbone of the HyNet Cluster to transport carbon dioxide from capture plants across the North West of England and North Wales, through new and repurposed infrastructure to safe and permanent storage in Eni’s depleted natural gas reservoirs, located under the seabed in Liverpool Bay. The initiative foresees the efficient repurposing of part of the offshore platforms as well as 149km of onshore and offshore pipelines, and the construction of 35km of new pipelines to connect industrial emitters to the Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) network.In this milestone deal, Crédit Agricole CIB acted as Sole Financial Advisor, Mandated Lead Arranger and Hedging Bank in the financing of the construction.The project is the first of a kind in the Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage (CCUS) industry. Aiming to transform one of the UK's most energy-intensive industrial areas into one of the first low-carbon industrial clusters in the world, it is a landmark transaction that represents a key advancement in the development of the CCUS industry globally and highlights Crédit Agricole CIB’s strong commitment to support clients in their energy transition journeys. Results for the first quarter 2025

<body>Crédit Agricole CIB has been acting as the Global Coordinator, Structuring Bank, and Green Loan Coordinator in a financing package for SSAB and its transformation project to a state-of-the-art fossil-free mill in Luleå, Sweden.  The project is key to enable SSAB to re-position SSAB Europe as a maker of premium products, to lower production costs. It will helps reduce CO2 emissions from the operations and therefore Sweden’s emissions by 7%.<subtitle-block>Three green loan financing facilities up to EUR 2.3 billion  </subtitle-block>The financing is structured by Crédit Agricole CIB and backed by the Swedish National Debt Office (Riksgälden) and the Italian Export Credit Agency (SACE), as well as the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB). SSAB decided on the EUR 4.5 billion investment in the new steel mill in Luleå during 2024. Now, SSAB has signed three green loan financing facilities up to EUR 2.3 billion with commitments of financing matching the capex profile of the project. It includes SEK 15 billion loan supported by the Swedish National Debt Office’s (“Riksgälden”) under the “Credit guarantees for green investments” program and EUR 808 million loan backed by the Italian Export Credit Agency, SACE. The other loan is provided by NIB. The loans are structured under the Green Loan Principles, in line with SSAB’s Green and Sustainable Linked Finance Framework. <subtitle-block>Reducing by 7% of Sweden’s current CO2 emissions  </subtitle-block>The new mill will have a capacity of 2.5 million tonnes a year with two electric arc furnaces, advanced ladle metallurgy and an integrated rolling mill. Other advantages include lower costs, shorter lead times, as well as better ability to manage swings in demand. The new steel mill can use a flexible mix of fossil-free sponge iron, pig iron and recycled scrap. When the new mini-mill is completed, SSAB will close the current blast furnace-based production system, which will largely remove the CO2 emissions from the own operations in Luleå. Nonetheless, Crédit Agricole CIB acted as the sole sustainable structuring advisor for the Hong Kong Urban Renewal Authority on its inaugural Sustainable Finance Framework and priced a triple-tranche HK$12 billion senior bonds for the Hong Kong Urban Renewal Authority in August 2024, underscoring its leadership.<title-block>Ongoing excellence for sustainable finance</title-block>Despite being the top sustainable finance bank in the region, Crédit Agricole CIB challenges the benchmark it has set, and continues to seek innovation and breakthroughs, as it tightens its ESG governance by introducing a new ESG Analytics Team in 2024 internally to manage ESG data. The Bank also achieved continued success in deploying its novel ESG-linked deposit account, which has expanded into six Asia-Pacific markets within one year. In mainland China, the Bank structured the world’s first-ever syndicated sustainability-linked loan for an aircraft lessor for CDB Aviation, as well as the first offshore Common Ground Taxonomy-aligned green bond issuance by a Chinese financial lessor, supporting companies in hard-to-abate sectors on their energy transition. In Taiwan, where Crédit Agricole CIB wins the FinanceAsia Best International Sustainable Bank for the first time, the Bank introduced the inaugural EU-Taxonomy-aligned green loan in Asia-Pacific for E-Ink to support its sustainable product development of ePaper, one of the most energy-efficient display technologies globally.
