Securitisation
Robust and tailored solutions
The bank can offer structured financing solutions tailored to the needs of its clients, based on various asset types or cash flows such as:
- Trade Receivables
- Financial Assets (e.g. auto loans and auto leases, consumer loans, credit card loans)
- Rental Vehicle Fleets
- Aircraft or Rail Assets
- Infrastructure Assets (for Project Bonds)
These financing facilities are mostly refinanced by 3 major Asset-Backed Commercial Paper* (ABCP) conduits, sponsored by CACIB (rated A1/P1/F1, LMA in Europe, ATLANTIC and LA FAYETTE in the United States), or directly through Asset-Backed Security* (ABS), structured and placed on capital markets.
*Asset-Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP): fixed income short term security issued by a Conduit to refinance the purchase from a bank or other financial institution, a corporate, public entity or other seller of specified assets (e.g. trade receivables). The Conduit is backed by liquidity lines granted by CACIB, covering the investors from both liquidity risk and asset underperformance risk.
*Asset-Backed Security: (ABS): fixed income security issued by a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to refinance the purchase from a bank or other financial institution, a corporate, public entity or other seller of specified assets (e.g. auto loans). The ABS interest and principal repayments are paid out of cash flow generated by the purchased assets.
