Crédit Agricole CIB has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Danantara Indonesia, which aims at accelerating investment and sustainable development across key priority sectors in Indonesia through an established cooperation framework.

As a sovereign fund, Danantara Indonesia has been commissioned to enhance and optimise investments and operations of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and other funding sources.

The MOU outlines a collaboration framework for identifying, structuring, and financing investments aligned with Danantara Indonesia’s ambition to drive sustainable economic growth. Focused areas of investment include renewable energy, digital infrastructure including data centers and digital ecosystems as well as food and agriculture, among others.

The agreement reflects a mutual commitment to mobilising capital and expertise to support Indonesia’s long-term economic transformation agenda. It also demonstrates the strengthening of bilateral economic ties between Indonesia and France, creating new avenues for public-private collaboration in sustainable and strategic sectors crucial to both nations’ future.

Danantara Indonesia and Crédit Agricole CIB will establish a working group to identify and evaluate potential areas of collaboration. The partnership will also leverage Crédit Agricole CIB’s global network and expertise in sustainable finance, asset financing, and international markets.

The MoU was signed by Pandu Sjahrir, Chief Investment Officer of Danantara Indonesia, and Jean-
François Deroche, our Senior Regional Officer Asia-Pacific during the Indonesia–France Business Forum on 28 May 2025, also at the time of French President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to Indonesia.

“This MoU reflects Danantara Indonesia's commitment to expanding its global partnerships and unlocking
capital that fuels Indonesia’s economic transformation. Collaborating with Crédit Agricole CIB provides us
with not only access to global financial networks but also a shared vision for sustainable and inclusive
development.”
