Crédit Agricole CIB makes senior appointments in Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea

Crédit Agricole CIB is pleased to announce several senior appointments in Asia-Pacific.

Laurent Proutière is appointed Regional Head of International Trade and Transaction Banking for Asia-Pacific, effective 18 December 2020. 
Based in Singapore, Laurent reports globally to Laurent Chenain, Global Head of International Trade and Transaction Banking and regionally to Michel Roy, Senior Regional Officer for Asia-Pacific. 

Benjamin Lamberg will succeed Laurent as Chief Executive Officer for Crédit Agricole CIB Taipei Branch, effective 18 December 2020. 
Based in Taipei, Benjamin reports to Michel Roy, Senior Regional Officer for Asia-Pacific.

Gérald Massenet is appointed Senior Country Officer for South Korea, effective 25 November 2020.
Based in Seoul, Gérald will report to Michel Roy, Senior Regional Officer for Asia-Pacific.

Biographies

Laurent Proutière

Laurent brings more than 20 years of experience in capital markets and financing activities gained in Europe and Asia.

Prior to taking up this new role, he was the Chief Executive Officer for Crédit Agricole CIB Taipei Branch since November 2014. Laurent began his career in 1998 working for the Equity Brokerage Division of Société Générale in Japan before joining Crédit Agricole Group in 2002. He joined the Credit Derivatives teams in London in 2007, and later the Asia Loan Syndication team in Hong Kong in 2012.

Benjamin Lamberg

Benjamin has a wealth of experience in debt, primary and credit markets, specialising in private placement and structured notes.

Benjamin joined Crédit Agricole CIB in July 2008 to manage the global MTNs & Private Placements franchise, based in London. He was then relocated to Hong Kong in July 2012 to further develop the Bank’s bond platform in Asia, and enhanced the Bank's capability to provide cross-border financing to its clients. Benjamin was instrumental in building Crédit Agricole CIB into a global RMB bond powerhouse.

Gérald Massenet

Gérald has been covering large and midcap corporates for 20 years, both in France and abroad.

He started his career in the Project Finance Department of former Crédit Lyonnais in 1992. He later took on several coverage management roles between 2003 and 2015, where he last served as Deputy Head of the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region. Since 2015, he has been a Senior Banker in charge of Large Corporate Clients and more recently, in charge of the global coverage of the Technology, Media, and Telecom sector.
