Crédit Agricole CIB appoints Yves-Marie Gayet as Global Head of International Trade and Transaction Banking
Yves-Marie Gayet has been appointed Global Head of International Trade and Transaction Banking, effective 18 September 2023.
Yves-Marie Gayet replaces Laurent Chenain, who became Head of Corporate & Leveraged Finance in June 2023. Yves-Marie reports to Jean-François Balaÿ, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB, and joins the Management Committee of the Bank.
BIOGRAPHY
Yves-Marie Gayet started his career in 1991, at Société Générale in Paris where he worked at the “Group’s Inspection Générale”. From 1997, he held various management positions in Société Générale Corporate and Investment Bank in Paris and London over a period of 15 years: he successively became Deputy, then Head of a structured financing business line, then Deputy Head of commodities markets in 2008. In 2012, Yves-Marie was appointed Executive Director of the French Brazilian Chamber of Commerce of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, while continuing to perform consulting activities for a number of large European clients. He joins Crédit Agricole CIB in 2019 as Senior Country Officer for Brazil before being appointed Head of Latin America in 2021 in addition to his role of Senior Country Officer.
