Crédit Agricole CIB appoints Dominique Blanchard Deputy General Manager in charge of Global Markets Activities

Crédit Agricole CIB appoints Dominique Blanchard as Deputy General Manager in charge of Global Markets activities, effective September 1st, 2026. Based in Paris, he reports directly to Jean-François Balaÿ, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB, and joins the Bank’s Executive Committee. He succeeds Pierre Gay, who is retiring after a distinguished career within the Crédit Agricole Group.

Dominique Blanchard will continue to implement the strategic priorities for market activities as part of Crédit Agricole’s ACT 2028 strategic plan, aiming to accelerate their diversification - with a particular focus on growing Equity-linked products – and continuing to expand these activities across all geographies and strengthening synergies throughout the entire Crédit Agricole Group.

With over 30 years of experience in the financial markets across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, Dominique Blanchard has developed recognised expertise in market activities and financial advisory services. 

He started his career with the Crédit Agricole Group, spending nearly 15 years in Paris, London and Asia (Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong) working for LCL, CLSA and Crédit Agricole in the markets and investment banking activities.

From 2008 to 2013 he joined Daiwa Sumitomo in Hong Kong to take on the responsibility of the Global Financial Markets before becoming Global Head of Sales and Origination for Debt Capital Markets at ANZ in 2013.

He rejoined Crédit Agricole CIB in 2018 as Head of Global Market Activities for the APAC and MEA regions, which he grew significantly during his tenure.

Dominique Blanchard holds an MBA from ESSEC business school and a Master’s degree from the IFP school.
