Korea franchise recognised for excellence in end-to-end client service in capital markets

Crédit Agricole CIB has been a trusted partner to Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC) since 2022, supporting its offshore bond programme annually and deepening collaboration in international capital markets. 2025 has been a very fruitful year with multiple landmark transactions, in which Crédit Agricole CIB took part in as a Joint Lead Manager:

• US$800 million 5-year Fixed and Floating Rate Senior Unsecured Global Bond
• US$400 million 5-year Floating Rate Formosa Covered Bond
• AU$700 million 5-year Fixed and Floating Rate Kangaroo Senior Unsecured Bond
• €500 million 5-year Fixed Rate Covered Bond

The Formosa Covered Bond was KHFC’s inaugural covered bond issuance in the Formosa market, expanding its investor base and strengthening its global funding diversification strategy. Beyond transactions, Crédit Agricole CIB also helped set up and facilitate investor meetings in key European markets in a continuous effort to expand the issuer’s investor base and strengthen investor outreach.

Crédit Agricole CIB is also recognised by KRX for outstanding performance based on volume, accuracy, and timeliness of over-the-counter (OTC) foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives transaction regulatory reporting. Among 289 reporting institutions, Crédit Agricole CIB has been acknowledged alongside two prominent local institutions - Kookmin Bank and Samsung Securities.

This follows the successful implementation of the KRX rewrite project, enhancing the regulatory framework for OTC derivatives by adopting global standards.

In response to this new international regulatory approach, Crédit Agricole CIB has effectively transformed its systems with further integrated automated tools, standardised formats, and near real-time reporting capabilities - modernising regulatory compliance. Korea is now among the leading markets where this enhanced framework has been successfully deployed.
