Crédit Agricole CIB launches International Trade & Transaction Banking platform in Australia
As part of Crédit Agricole CIB’s ongoing efforts to expand the trade finance platform and better serve its clients, the Bank has launched its International Trade & Transaction Banking (ITB) business in Australia.
This strategic step follows Crédit Agricole CIB Australia’s acquisition of its full banking licence in January 2022 Will open in a new tab . The franchise has since continued to evolve into a fully-fledged corporate and investment bank, beyond its well-established real asset financing platform.
The new platform enables Crédit Agricole CIB to provide a more comprehensive range of working capital solutions and international trade services to corporate and institutional clients in Australia. The Bank consistently ranks one of the top three export finance banks globally in terms of volume and is an award-winning trade finance house accoladed by prominent publications including GTR and Euromoney.
The launch of International Trade & Transaction Banking activities in Australia is part of Crédit Agricole CIB’s objective to facilitate cross-border collaboration and support the activities of multinational companies in the economically flourishing Asia-Pacific region.
To celebrate the official launch of International Trade & Transaction Banking activities in the country, the Bank hosted an evening reception on 30 October, welcoming a select group of clients based in Australia in the presence of Patrick de Talancé - Senior Country Officer Australia, Christophe Crétot - Head of International Trade & Transaction Banking for Asia-Pacific, Fabien Lautodé - Deputy Head of Global Trade & Commodities for Asia-Pacific, and Edouard Cazals – Director, International Trade & Transaction Banking in Australia. This delightful evening was an excellent opportunity to engage with clients and understand their needs, reaffirming the Bank’s growth ambitions in the country as this new chapter begins.
The launch of our International Trade & Transaction Banking operations in Australia is a key milestone of our growth strategy for the local franchise. As we continue to enhance our product offerings and services, we aim to further strengthen our role as a preferred banking partner for our clients in Australia.
