Crédit Agricole CIB is pleased to announce the completion of our first renewable energy tax credit purchase in the United States, supporting EDF power solutions North America on the Milagro Energy project, a major solar-plus-storage facility located in New Mexico.

We acted as sole Tax Credit Purchaser, acquiring up to $212.5 million in federal tax credits, including Investment Tax Credits (ITC) and 10 years of Production Tax Credits (PTC) in relation to Project Milagro.

The Milagro Energy project will deliver clean, reliable electricity to the community served by El Paso Electric and contributes meaningfully to the expansion of renewable power and grid-supporting battery storage in the region.

This landmark transaction marks a strategic step forward in Crédit Agricole CIB’s development of renewable energy tax credit monetization capabilities in the U.S., a product increasingly crucial to the financing of clean energy assets. By purchasing both ITCs and a long-term strip of PTCs, we are strengthening our support to clients developing complex, capital-intensive renewable infrastructure.

This initiative deepens our relationship with EDF power solutions North America, a long-standing strategic client, and reinforces our leadership in financing the energy transition across key markets.

Project Milagro is a franchise enhancing transaction that embeds specialized tax attribute monetization expertise within our DNA that can be applied across various asset classes where tax credits are core economic components of the capital structure: it is a highly sought capability from our clients. Thank you and congratulations to all the various teams involved in NY and Paris that made the NAP and our first transaction possible; it is the epitome of cross-functional collaboration across teams and geographies. Congratulations to EDF power solutions on Milagro Energy’s successful completion.
