In September, Crédit Agricole CIB Americas hosted three events focused on ESG, sustainability, and climate change.

Refinitiv LCP - "ESG Lending: Is the Momentum 'Sustainable'?"

On September 14, Gary Herzog, Head of Loan Syndications and Acquisitions Finance for the Americas, and Fanny Charrier, VP, Loan Syndications Origination and Sustainability Coordinator, hosted the “ESG Lending: Is the Momentum “Sustainable”?” panel, alongside speakers from Micron Technology, Neuberger Berman, and PGIM Fixed Income, as part of the “Refinitiv LPC Middle Market, Direct Lending & Large Corporate Loans” virtual conference.

The discussion explored current trending topics in the ESG Lending space. Speakers provided insight regarding key considerations for investors and issuers, drivers of growth for sustainable financial instruments and specific trigger events that helped accelerate the talk about sustainability.

Climate Week NYC - "The Case and Opportunity for Scaling Hydrogen Adoption" & "The US Offshore Wind Finance Forum"

On September 23, during the 2021 Climate Week NYC Virtual Conference (organized by Climate Group), we hosted the second annual “The Case and Opportunity for Scaling Hydrogen Adoption” webinar, and the third annual “The US Offshore Wind Finance Forum” webinar. Both webinars featured speakers from 174 Power Global, Cummins, Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind LLC, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Siemens Gamesa.

The webinars helped to educate the financial community, banks and investors on the ambitions, challenges and financing needs of the contribution of H2 in the low-carbon energy transition, as well as the upcoming impressive investment opportunities of the US Offshore Wind market.

Climate Fresk virtual workshop

On September 30, we hosted a Climate Fresk virtual workshop, where employees participated in virtual interactive activities that aimed to raise awareness and understanding about climate change.

Participants of the workshop discussed the consequences, challenges and changesthat they see are in our future, or should be coming, in regards to the current climate of our Earth.
