Christophe Crétot is appointed Head of International Trade & Transaction Banking for Asia-Pacific

Crédit Agricole CIB has appointed Christophe Crétot as Head of International Trade & Transaction Banking for Asia-Pacific, effective 10 March 2025. He succeeds Laurent Proutière, who has taken on the position of Chief Executive Officer Asia for Indosuez Wealth Management.

Christophe reports to Jean-François Deroche, Senior Regional Officer for Asia-Pacific, and Yves-Marie Gayet, Global Head of International Trade & Transaction Banking, at Crédit Agricole CIB.

Based in Singapore, the Bank’s regional hub for its International Trade & Transaction Banking arm, Christophe will oversee all business activities related to Export Finance, Commodity Finance, Trade Finance, Receivable and Supply Chain Finance, and Cash Management, for clients in the Asia-Pacific region. To better accompany them in the financing of their working capital and international trade needs, he will continue to strengthen Crédit Agricole CIB's regional product offering, notably through cutting-edge digital and ESG solutions.

 
Biography

Christophe’s stint with the Crédit Agricole Group began with Indosuez Wealth Management Luxembourg as a fund manager in 1996. He started out in Crédit Agricole CIB in Paris as Credit Analyst and further relocated to London as Loan Originator for French and Nordic companies. Then, he was successively appointed Head of Loan Origination EMEA in 2012, Head of Corporate Origination Asia-Pacific in 2015, Head of Debt Origination & Advisory Asia-Pacific - the joint venture between debt capital markets and loan activities, in 2018, and most recently Head of Corporate & Leveraged Finance Asia-Pacific in 2022.
