Double success at the 2019 mtn-i awards!
MTN & SRI Dealer of the Year awards
At the 2019 MTN Awards, mtn-i distinguished Crédit Agricole CIB with two prestigious bond house awards, acknowledging the excellence of both our MTNs & Private Placements, as well as Sustainable Banking franchise.
Our Bank was awarded:
- the MTN Dealer of the Year award for leveraging cross-regional origination, derivative and structuring innovation,
- the SRI Dealer of the Year award for our visionary commitment to socially responsible capital markets and key innovations in that area.
“These are great awards for our value chain! It may ‘take a village to raise a child’, but it certainly takes an entire capital markets franchise to print an MTN – from Origination to Sales, and Structuring, Swap, Legal, Settlement to MTN execution. Our MTNs and Private placement strategy has always been to differentiate ourselves with a 1) strong Cross-Border placement by ‘bridging continents’, 2) a perfectly aligned franchise with key DCM issuers, 3) smart leverage of our in-house extensive swap capabilities and structuring capacity, and last but not least, 4) by embracing our Sustainable Banking efforts into converting our Global Markets franchise into a Sustainable Markets one.”
Benjamin Lamberg, Global Head of MTNs & Private Placements, and Head of Credit – Syndicate, Trading & Sales, APAC
“The MTN Dealer Award highlights the depth of our franchise which has been going from strength to strength. The teams can be pleased that our innovation has been rewarded and we are seen as a solution provider to both our issuer and investor clients – the CMS 1010 placed for a third-party issuer last year or the 100yr convexity solution from this year are testimony to that. We are working tirelessly to compete across the globe and the development of a US onshore placement for SSAs in 2019 has been the final piece in the global jigsaw.”
Toby Croasdell, Head of MTNs EMEA
“Our collaboration with the MTNs & Private Placements team has always been a forte of our capital markets development. The versatility of the private placement products has led to quite significant innovation in the field of sustainable banking with the likes of Thematic bonds first used in the Japanese Uridashi markets, SRI driven reverse enquiries from global investors looking for special Social objectives to deploy their investment to. To sum up, private placements are a key tool of sustainable banking and we are proud to see our franchise awarded.”
Tanguy Claquin, Global Head of Sustainable Banking
“MTNs and Sustainable Banking have been some strong growth factor for our primary franchise over recent years. Thanks to our Tier 1 MTNs & Private Placements franchise, we are delivering day-in day-out value to our issuer and investor base, with cross-border funding opportunities and it is even better if it is in green format!”
Jean-Luc Lamarque, Global Head of Syndicate, Credit Trading and Credit Sales
