August 2011 - Crédit Agricole CIB mandated lead arranger in a major syndication for Huawei in China

In August 2011, Crédit Agricole CIB acted as one of the bookrunners and mandated lead arrangers for the 5-year USD 1.2 billion syndication in favour of Huawei Tech Investment Co Ltd (“Huawei HK”) and Huawei International PTE Ltd (“Huawei SG”). The syndication is divided into two tranches:

  • tranche A - USD 700 million for Huawei HK,
  • tranche B - USD 500 million for Huawei SG.

The bank syndicate includes 12 major international banks. The purpose of the syndication is to refinance the borrowers' existing facilities and to finance general corporate purposes.

It also contributes to reinforce our visibility in the Chinese market and of course in the league tables because of the size of the transaction", comments Xavier Roux, Senior Country Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB in China.
