Calyon is making progress on the bond issue market

In April, Calyon published its zoom dealing with the bond issues, one of its strategic activities. The reorganisation of the Fixed Income Markets Business Lines confirmed bond issuance as a strategic activity for Calyon. Calyon is moving up to eighth place in the ranking of euro-denominated bond issues (according to Thomson Reuters). Commercial banking, a new organisation at the heart of Calyon's strategy

In 2007, the Commercial banking has deployed a new organisation even more oriented toward the customer satisfaction. New: the 2008 Shelf-registration document

Calyon's results for FY2008 reflect the impact of the financial crisis. After a first half marked by substantial decreases in value, Calyon managed to check losses in Q3 and the fourth quarter closed, despite the disruption of the markets, near equilibrium. This is the positive consequence of the refocusing and development plan implemented in the Summer and disclosed on 10th September 2008.
