Sustainable Development Week - CA Cheuvreux, a responsible broker

During the Sustainable Development Week, Crédit Agricole CIB will present some of its initiatives in this area.

Today, focus on the commitments of CA Cheuvreux to Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) research. Find out a video interview of Stéphane Voisin, Head of Sustainable Investment Research.

Since 2005, CA Cheuvreux has been a pioneer in integrating extra-financial criteria into its traditional financial analysis. In 2008, it was the first broker to sign for Responsible Investing Principles proposed by the United Nations. Its analysts strive to provide investors with all the answers to their environmental, social and governance questions about companies.

CA Cheuvreux’s SRI research team takes four criteria into account:

  • environmental and social aspects,
  • corporate governance,
  • green technologies,
  • climate and carbon.

With regard to carbon, CA Cheuvreux wrote the first Carbon Disclosure Project Europe 300 reports.

The European broker also demonstrates its commitment through initiatives taken throughout the year. On December 2, 2010, it organised an SRI round table in partnership with Crédit Agricole CIB. More than 70 clients of Crédit Agricole CIB and CA Cheuvreux took part in these discussions on the subject: "Socially responsible bond issues".

CA Cheuvreux’s SRI research is regularly rewarded for the quality of its expertise. It received:

  • the Thomson Extel 2010 prize for the best “Sustainability Research in Europe”,
  • the Farsight Award for the quality of its long-term and extra-financial research having primarily to do with climate change.
