In September 2011, Crédit Agricole group decided that its Sustainable Development mission should be a function of top management. Environmental and social challenges are central to the Group and all its subsidiaries.
At Crédit Agricole CIB, Head of Sustainable Development Eric Cochard reports to the Corporate Secretary. Since 2007, he has coordinated sustainable development activities in all business lines to serve clients.

Crédit Agricole CIB's results were consistent with its commitments in terms of managing both the activities being wound down (with a sharp reduction in their risk profile) and its core activities (maintaining a recurring earnings base of EUR 1 billion). In fact, in 2010, the earnings objective was surpassed in the first nine months of the year.
