Peking to Paris race: the car sub-sponsored by Crédit Agricole CIB in Turkey ranked 2nd
Crédit Agricole CIB in Turkey sponsored a team in the 2010 “Peking to Paris" race which ended on October 16th. During 37 days, 98 cars from 26 different nations, crossed 11 countries.
The race started from Beijing and ended with a parade through the streets of Paris, celebrating the end of this remarkable 10,000 mile event.
The team sub-sponsored by Crédit Agricole CIB ended second in the Classics category, with the former Turkish rally champion, Ahmet Omgun and Erdal Tokcan, in an Anadol 1600.
The frustrating border crossings, the remarkable hospitality of local populations, mechanical problems and miracle repairs are just a sample of the race. A real lifetime of accumulated memories!
By competing in the Peking to Paris race, the Turkish team also participated to benefit the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG).
