November 2011 - Crédit Agricole CIB plays a role in Faurecia's EUR 1.5 billion refinancing

On 4 November 2011, Crédit Agricole CIB acted as bookrunner and associate global coordinator for Faurecia’s high-yield bond issue.

Despite difficult market conditions, the order book was enthusiastically sought after by investors who were attracted by Faurecia’s outlook for growth and geographic coverage.

This issue is complementary to the refinancing of the EUR 1.15 billion syndicated loan (signed on 17 December 2011) for which Crédit Agricole CIB also acted as mandated lead arranger  and bookrunner.

We are pleased to be of assistance to Faurecia at this important stage in its development,” says Senior Banker Régis Leenhardt.

This transaction will also make possible early repayment of the EUR 250 million loan granted to Faurecia by Peugeot S.A.

This overall refinancing of its debt enables Faurecia to extend its maturity, diversify its sources and have access to financing without a minimum retention clause from Peugeot S.A. It will contribute to the continued sustained development of the company’s business activities in all automotive markets worldwide.

Faurecia is ranked sixth among the world’s automotive equipment suppliers with four key activities: automobile seats, emission control technologies, and internal and external automotive systems. In 2010 the company had sales of EUR 13.8 billion and employed 75,000 people in 33 countries.
