Crédit Agricole CIB acted as sole adviser to Tele2 in their 51%-stake acquisition of Kazakhstan-based mobile operator Neo. 

Tele2 also gets an option to buy the remaining 49% after five years from closing.
 

Crédit Agricole CIB has accompanied Tele2 through the whole merger & acquisition process, from the feasibility study of the acquisition to its successful completion. This operation illustrates the solid relationships between Tele2 and Crédit Agricole CIB, both in financing solutions and merger & acquisitions, as demonstrated by other recent assignments in Sweden and in Austria.
 

Tele2 offers mobile services, fixed broadband and telephony, data network services, cable TV and content services. With 27 million customers, the company operates in 11 countries.
Neo is the trading name for Mobile Telecom-Service. Neo is the third operator on the Kazakh market and has around 380,000 subscribers.
