Crédit Agricole CIB plays again a significant role in a green project financing for Acciona
In April 2011, Crédit Agricole CIB acted as mandated lead arranger for Acciona’s EUR 1.421 billion senior debt facility project financing.
Due to significant oversubscription, Crédit Agricole CIB’s final take amounted to EUR 133.7 million. The transaction was financed by a bank syndicate of twelve financial institutions, including seven domestic and five international.
The transaction aimed at refinancing the Spanish 1,310 MW renewable assets sponsored by Acciona (wind and mini-hydro).
The refinancing of the EUR 1.575 billion bridge loan aimed at financing the acquisition of 2,084 MW of renewable assets in June 2009.
“This project financing maintains our high-quality relationship with Acciona. We collaborated with the Fixed Income Markets teams to achieve this transaction.” explains Roland Menor Aguilera, Senior Banker.
