In July 2010 Hexagon acquired Intergraph Corporation, a US global provider of engineering and geospatial software, for an amount of USD 2.125 million. The new enlarged group will be able to develop and provide unrivalled integrated solutions where the complimentary strong products in software applications will support the existing range of hardware to serve different industries and global sectors.

Crédit Agricole CIB, alongside SEB, acted as joint bookrunner and underwriter of a EUR 2.6 billion debt and equity financing package for Hexagon AB. The debt package covered the acquisition price, the capital increase, existing debt and the new medium term debt. Equally on a joint basis Crédit Agricole CIB and SEB acted as bookrunners and advised on the successful capital increase of SEK 6.5 billion which closed in December 2010. Both banks provided some major hedges to cover the USD payment of the acquisition price.

This significant transaction was the largest Swedish corporate acquisition in 2010. The debt transactions were named “Best Nordic Loan” by Euroweek in 2010.
