Calyon lead manager for a bond issue for Alstom
Calyon acted as the lead manager for a EUR 500 million bond issue for Alstom.
The issue was very well received by European investors. Rated Baa1 by Moody’s and BBB+ by Standard & Poor’s, it carries a coupon of 4.0% and matures in five years (September 23, 2014).
The proceeds will be used to meet the French industrial company’s general financing needs.
"This deal bears witness to our excellent relations with Alstom and strengthens Calyon’s position as one of the leaders in the market for euro-denominated corporate issues", commented Gilles d’Halloy, Senior Banker.
Present in more than 70 countries, Alstom is one of the world’s leaders in infrastructure for electrical production and rail transport.
