Calyon acted as the co-lead arranger for Suez Environnement’s bond issue in a transaction totaling EUR 500 million with a 5.50% coupon coming due on July 22, 2024.

Introduced on July 8, 2009, the issue was oversubscribed ten times. Its success highlights the market’s confidence in Suez Environnement’s creditworthiness and investors’ current appetite for long-dated, euro-denominated bonds, in this case for 15 years.

This issue is part of Suez Environnement’s financing program which is enabling the group to diversify and extend the maturity of its debt.

Calyon has a long-standing relationship with this client and worked with GDF Suez on the Suez Environnement spin-off in July 2008.
