Calyon, joint bookrunner of a benchmark bond for Allianz
On July 15, 2009 Allianz issued a EUR 1.5 billion senior bond with a 10-year maturity. The issue, guaranteed by Allianz SE, was placed through the Dutch financing subsidiary Allianz Finance II B.V.. A listing on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange is anticipated.
Calyon, Commerzbank and Deutsche Bank acted as the joint bookrunners on this bond. It met strong demand from investors all across Europe and was substantially oversubscribed. It was the first 10-year financial senior bond since the Lehman bankruptcy.
