Calyon co-manages Saint-Gobain's capital increase
Calyon was mandated as bookrunner for Saint-Gobain’s capital increase, alongside BNP Paribas and J.P Morgan.
The transaction, announced on February 20th, 2009, was carried out via the allocation of free equity warrants (BSA) for a total of EUR 1.5 billion. Seven warrants entitled existing shareholders to subscribe for two new shares at EUR 14 per share.
The capital increase was successfully closed on March 18th, 2009 and was 96% subscribed. The unsubscribed balance was placed in minutes at the market price of EUR 20.79.
The global leader in housing markets, Saint-Gobain designs, produces and markets construction materials. It had sales of EUR 43.8 billion in 2008 and operates in 59 countries with nearly 210,000 employees.
