
Calyon acted as Bookrunner and Mandated Lead Arranger in a USD 3.7 billion financing on behalf of OTAS (Ojer Telekomünikasyon A.S.), main shareholder of Türk Telecom and subsidiary of the Saudi Oger group. Saudi Oger is one of the main Saudi private group, active in construction, telecom and services. Saudi Oger won in November 2005 the call for tenders for Türk Telecom privatisation, acquiring via OTAS 55% of the company's capital for USD 6,55 billion. The purpose of this 8.25 year financing is to refinance this acquisition.
