Calyon acted for the financing of two Boeing for Qatar Airways
Calyon was mandated joint arranger for the financing of:
- one Boeing 777-300ER aircraft scheduled for delivery in October 2009,
- one Boeing 777-200LR scheduled for delivery in December 2009.
Calyon acted with Natixis Transport Finance, also joint arranger. Qatar Airways has agreed a USD 350 million deal for the financing of those two new Boeing. The transaction represents a twelve-year, two tranche finance lease structure. The financing has been underwritten by a pool of four banks.
Qatar Airways is a modern airline based in Qatar. Since 2007, the company has increased its fleet with an objective of 200 aircraft being in use for 2013.
