Calyon acted as sole dealer manager for Hutchison Whampoa EUR & GBP Tender Offer
Calyon successfully acted as the sole dealer manager for Hutchison Whampoa’s tender offer to repurchase up to GBP 350 million in aggregate principal of its outstanding GBP 400 million 2026 and GBP 300 million 2017 senior notes, and up to EUR 300 million of its outstanding EUR 1 billion 2016 senior notes in June 2009.
The results of the 8-day tender offer are as follows:
- GBP 91 million of the GBP 400 million 2026 notes, i.e. 23% of the principal amount,
- GBP 183.95 million of the GBP 300 million 2017notes, i.e. 61% of the principal amount,
- EUR 276.25 million of the EUR 1 billion 2016 notes, i.e. 28% of the principal amount.
