Calyon, as joint mandated lead arranger, was involved in the re-opening of the UK covered bond market with Barclays' inaugural EUR 2 billion covered bond.

The 10-year issuance was the first regulated UK covered bond transaction and the first UK covered bond transaction in almost 2 years. The order book closed in excess of EUR 8 billion at the official price guidance.
