In recognition of its efforts to promote corporate social responsibility in 2010, Crédit Agricole CIB was awarded the "Caring Company Logo 2010/11" by the Hong Kong Council of Social Services (HKCSS) in February 2011.


 

This is the second year in a row that Crédit Agricole CIB has received such recognition of its commitment to good corporate citizenship through caring for the community, employees and the environment.
 

"We are greatly honoured to be awarded the Caring Company Logo again this year. As our Asian regional hub based in Hong Kong, we have always endeavoured to nurture community spirit by participating in charitable activities and fostering close relationships with the local community," said Mr. Patrice Couvegnes, Senior Regional Officer for Asia.
 

In addition to providing an employee-friendly working environment and launching environmental protection programs, Crédit Agricole CIB has also cooperated with Heifer InternationalHeifer International is a non-profit organisation that develops programmes to fight poverty in more than 50 countries. Its special emphasis is on helping rural communities while instilling in them a spirit of environmental responsibility. It trains them not only in agricultural techniques, but also in preserving the natural environment. - Hong Kong to help the impoverished farmers in rural areas in China since 2007. Owing to its continuous efforts in caring for the needy, Crédit Agricole CIB was nominated by Heifer International - Hong Kong for this year’s Caring Company award.
 

The HKCSS Caring Company Scheme aims to create a cohesive society by promoting strategic partnerships between businesses and social service partners, and inspiring corporate social responsibility through caring for the community, employees and the environment. The Caring Company Logo is awarded every year to companies that demonstrate a caring spirit.
