For the 2nd year in a row CA Cheuvreux writes the Carbon Disclosure Project Europe 300
A global initiative on behalf of 534 investors worldwide, this report includes analyses of the answers provided by 253 European companies to a questionnaire focused on climate change-related issues and developed by the Carbon Disclosure Project.
As the first broker selected to write this report, CA Cheuvreux aims at pursuing its first objective with this second edition: to present readers with a report that goes beyond the usual analysis of disclosure scores (based on a scoring methodology developed by PwC) and that provides useful quantitative analyses based on data provided by companies, in order to allow intra-sector benchmarking of groups' carbon risks and emission reduction strategies.
The report notably includes 18 sector analyses* and is a useful tool for investors seeking to:
- engage corporates on their climate change strategy,
- get a view on the financial risk implied by the regulation of carbon emissions,
- compare emission reduction plans and solutions developed by companies.
CA Cheuvreux, ranked N°1 for SRI & Sustainability Research (Thomson Extel 2010) is proud of its contribution to the Carbon Disclosure Project and believes that the report brings value to its SRI research product.
