The Credit research team of Crédit Agricole CIB achieved their highest ranking ever in the "Euromoney Fixed Income Research poll 2010 pan-European client survey". In less than three years Credit research moved from No 18 to No 5 in the "2010 Investment Grade ranking overall". All credit research sectors covered are now ranked within the top ten. All analysts have also seen their ranking improve nearly three notches this year.

"Considering the three years the market has been through, this is a tremendous achievement for a team that was rebuilt at the start of the crisis. This may explain part of our success." said Jean-Francois Paren, Head of Credit Research. "The team has entirely re-developed its product range and systems based on client needs in times of high volatility and heightened credit risk while other houses may have been too slow to react to the new market environment."

The top 50 asset managers remain the heart of the team's target. The fact that the team achieved even better rankings among the larger players in the industry seems to bode well for future rankings. "As a team, we managed to break into the top five against teams that established their positions between 2000 and 2005." adds Jean-François Paren "With a larger client base, a new website and some new products we should progress again in these rankings next year and support Debt & Credit Markets marketing efforts to gain the market shares we want to achieve with top AM."

Crédit Agricole CIB is now part of the top credit research houses in Europe.
