Crédit Agricole CIB launches the OPTIM Trade Open Account portal

OPTIM Trade Open Account completes Crédit Agricole CIB’s offer on Trade and Supply Chain by allowing its customers to have an enhanced strategic relationship with their suppliers. It also makes Crédit Agricole CIB competitive with the top world players.

The Casino Group, a retail giant, is Crédit Agricole CIB's first customer to use the new OPTIM Trade Open Account service. The first transactions with one of its dedicated Chinese suppliers have just been processed.

Via OPTIM Trade Portal, OPTIM Trade Open Account allows the client (the buyer) to:

  • manage the global workflow from the sending of its purchase order up to the acceptation of the invoice presented by its supplier on an automated and secure basis;
  • offer a pre-payment to its supplier, if the client wishes to do so;
  • pass on to Crédit Agricole CIB its requests of payments, on due date or anticipated, thanks to the interface with OPTIM Suppliers solution (International VCOM).

“A key aspect of our business is making our services evolve with a competitive offer. Working with Misys has allowed us to continue to offer innovative services and to answer quickly to market changes," explains François Cron, Head of Crédit Agricole CIB’s Trade & Supply Chain Department. "The solution was rolled out swiftly, with less than twelve months between the initial workshops and the production launch, and we already have one client who is actively using it today.”

This first phase, which covers the management of the financial flows from France to abroad, will be followed by the extension of OPTIM Suppliers to cross-border flows, offering this service to the customers of Crédit Agricole CIB's international network.
