Crédit Agricole CIB awarded the Caring Company Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Services
In February 2010, Crédit Agricole CIB was awarded the Caring Company Logo 2009/10 by the Hong Kong Council of Social Services (HKCSS) in recognition of its efforts to promote corporate social responsibility through caring for the community, employees and the environment in the past one year.

Launched by the HKCSS in 2002, the Caring Company Scheme aims at cultivating good corporate citizenship. Hong Kong’s first initiative of its kind, it recognises organisations which demonstrate good corporate citizenship and raises public awareness of good corporate citizenship demonstrated by the business and public sectors and their contribution to a caring community.
Crédit Agricole CIB shares Crédit Agricole’s commitment to sustainable development by upholding corporate social responsibility in the local community. Besides providing an employee-friendly working environment and launching environmental protection and awareness programmes, Crédit Agricole CIB also participates in local charity activities. For instance a three-year partnership programme with Heifer InternationalHeifer International is a non-profit organisation that develops programmes to fight poverty in more than 50 countries. Its special emphasis is on helping rural communities while instilling in them a spirit of environmental responsibility. It trains them not only in agricultural techniques, but also in preserving the natural environment. to help the impoverished farmers in Yunnan Tengchong, China. Thanks to its contribution to the local community, Crédit Agricole CIB was nominated by Heifer International Hong Kong for this year’s Caring Company award.
This recognition not only demonstrates Crédit Agricole CIB is a socially responsible company, but also reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development, in line with its new “green banking” concept.
