Calyon receives awards from Jane's Transport Finance
Calyon has received four awards for its expertise in air transport. The following were announced by Jane’s Transport Finance on December 2, 2009:
- “Aircraft Capital Markets Deal of the Year” for the first public issue fully guaranteed by the U.S. Ex-Im Bank for three Boeing B777-300ER aircraft flown by Emirates Airlines,
- “Rail Finance Deal of the Year - Europe” for the first Swiss export lease for a Western European railroad (Westbahn),
- “Aircraft Leasing Deal of the Year Europe” for the financing of a German/KG operating lease for Aerologie (a joint venture between Lufthansa Cargo and Deutsche Post),
- “Aircraft Leasing Innovator of the Year” for the first Italian Sace export lease with AP Fleet/Alitalia, as well as other Calyon leasing deals in 2009.
Each year Jane’s Transport Finance rewards the efforts and skills of companies working in the transportation industry in areas such as aviation, rail and shipping. The magazine’s awards are based on votes cast by various transport finance players.
