On October 26, 2009, in Singapore, Calyon and Crédit Agricole Asset Management were Gold sponsors for the first annual international forum of Paris Europlace (the organisation responsible for promoting the Paris financial markets).

This partnership enabled Calyon to achieve good visibility in the Singapore financial community.

Christian Noyer, Governor of the Banque de France, and Heng Swee Keat, Chief Executive Officer of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), opened the forum in which 250 attendees from the Singapore financial market – both French and Singaporean – took part: investors, issuers and representatives of banks and financial companies, as well as regulators and representatives of the Central Bank.

The forum’s goals were to encourage dialogue in order to draw lessons from the financial crisis, restore confidence and identify the opportunities offered by European financial markets.

The event was organised with the support of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Banque de France. In addition to Calyon and Crédit Agricole Asset Management, the forum was sponsored by the Invest in France Agency, BNP Paribas, Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC), Institut Europlace de Finance (EIF), NYSE Euronext, Société Générale, Standard Chartered and Tradition, and received the valued support of the Economics department of the French Embassy in Singapore.
