Calyon was ranked No. 2 market maker for Exchange Fund Notes (EFNs) in a new set of league tables of market makers (MMs) for the Exchange Fund Bills and Notes published by Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) on June 5, 2009.

The ranking not only marks our latest success in Hong Kong dollar market, but also demonstrates our continued growing participation in trading and marketing Calyon’s rates products in the local market,” said Cecil Leung, Global Head of Interest Rate Derivatives Emerging Markets Trading.

The league table for EFNs lists the 12 MMs which achieved the highest ranking on the basis of their turnover in respective markets and market making performance through the Electronic Trading Platform over a six-month between December 2008 and May 2009.

Calyon was ranked No. 9 MMs for EFNs in December, 2008 (Based on turnover data from June 1, 2008 to November 30, 2008).
