Calyon has received the “Bank of the Year” award by Project Finance International (PFI) in December 2009.

By being mandated lead arranger on 19 deals out of the 26 “Deals of The Year”, the performance of Calyon in the project finance field is noteworthy. This involvement has to be emphasised, especially with the turbulent economic conditions of the year 2009.

This price rewards the expertise and global network of Calyon which allow the Bank winning numerous mandates on various projects among them:

• Dolphin Energy project (a USD 4.1 billion refinancing in the United Arab Emirates): "Middle Eastern Oil & Gas Deal of the Year" ;
  
• Tullow Oil project in West Africa: "Corporate Deal of the Year" ;
  
• M25 project in the United Kingdom: "Public-Private Partnership Deal of the Year" ;
  
• Minera Esperanza in South America: "Mining Deal of the Year" ;
  
• Astoria 2 project in the United States: "Power Deal of the Year" ;
