CA Cheuvreux: the 2011 Autumn Conference meets with great success
Dedicated to French securities the CA Cheuvreux 2011 Autumn Conference took place from 26 to 28 September in Paris.
A few attendance figures bear out how successful the conference was:
- 93 French listed companies, represented by their top management (CEOs, CFOs, etc),
- 607 international institutional investors,
- 1,448 one-on-one,
- 10 key speakers.
This year, a two-day seminar on economic and strategic issues took place alongside company presentations. Its theme was “Economic, political and social crisis: have we really tried everything?” Among the speakers:
- Eli Cohen, CNRS director of research: “Economic crisis: how can growth be best rekindled?”
- Augustin Landier, economist: “Social crisis: how can social cohesion be preserved?”
- François Heisbourg, president of the board of directors of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS): “Political crisis: how can the political offer be renewed?”
Another high point of the conference was the Sir Bob Geldof’s (musician, entrepreneur and activist) presentation on investing in Africa.
