Testimony: "The DRF Paris trading room staff, a young and dynamic team"

Testimony of Elie Rouhana, Sales Assistant within the French Regions Division (DRF) in Paris

Why did you choose to do your internship at Calyon?

Calyon is an internationally known corporate and investment bank with trading rooms in the major financial markets, in particular in Paris, London, New York and Hong Kong. Calyon’s strategy in the face of the past two years’ disruptions of financial markets and the excellent reputation of the Crédit Agricole Group led me to want to be a member of its staff.

How smoothly were you integrated into the staff?

I joined the young and dynamic French Regions Division (DRF) Paris trading room staff which made my integration much smoother. All of my close colleagues shared a desire to explain to me clearly what they did on a daily basis. They also wanted my training to be as good as possible through the end of my internship so that I could later take advantage of my experience.

What are your daily responsibilities?

As a Sales Assistant, I am in contact with the clients and the Bank's departments on the pricing of various structured products and tracking of their market transactions. In addition, together with the sales force, I contribute to the preparation of sales proposals for clients. I have thus been able to acquire a practical approach to financial products and understand how to define tailored solutions for clients in accordance with their expectations.

What do you appreciate most at Calyon?

Above all I appreciate the effort that goes into providing highly interesting training sessions and conferences throughout the year. Doing my internship in Calyon’s trading room enabled me to become much more responsive and disciplined.
