Testimony: Marie Hervé, trainee assistant to Senior Bankers

How would you describe your internship?

I’m an intern at the DRF Ile-de-France office, where my duty is to assist the Senior Bankers. This internship is giving me an overall vision of the bank's business lines, especially Coverage and a chance to acquire genuine experience. A head of credit structuring works alongside me every day. I’m increasingly becoming self sufficient in assignments with varied, constantly more complex problems to solve.

What do you like best about your internship?

Since the start of my internship I have been taking part in meetings with clients, and I work together with the various departments at Calyon. I feel lucky to have discovered this business line in such a concrete way. It’s motivating and gives me responsibility.

This is a very formative internship. It strengthens my aim to learn more about the Bank’s business lines, especially coverage.

What would you like to tell students who visit Calyon's web site?

You’re given a very warm welcome at Calyon, and we regularly take new training courses. I’ve managed to fit in thanks to its staff’s professionalism and readiness to listen. My team has always been available to answer any questions I have and to give me advice. A lot of students from my school are taking internships at Calyon, and we get to share our experiences.
