I joined Calyon at the end of my studies on a nine month internship. I was taken on as an analyst in the Commercial Banking business line’s client relations unit, and was lucky enough to keep my position at the end of the internship. My decision was proved right by my being treated well and given responsibility early on, the attention paid to junior staff, my participation in new transactions, and by the division’s openness internationally and towards the Bank’s other business lines.

Working in Calyon’s Commercial Banking unit enables you to discover the various banking business lines and to become actively involved with the Crédit Agricole Group’s global network. It also puts you in direct contact with key market players in France and abroad and right at the center of current events and exciting deals. With this job you get comprehensive, dynamic training in the Bank's core business lines. It gives you an overview of the businesses practiced by the major players in international corporate and investment banking.

What I particularly appreciated was the attention given to junior staff and the fact that you get given responsibility at a very early stage. Another strong point is the team work, the fact that you are constantly learning and interacting with the other business lines.
