Silvia Konradova: "I found management in both Prague and Paris open to mobility"
Silvia Konradova, financial security officer in the Paris Compliance department
Could you tell us about your career so far at Crédit Agricole CIB and your transfer in particular?
I joined Crédit Agricole CIB in Prague in 2006. I started out as an internal audit manager and then became a financial security and permanent control officer. When the financial security manager came to Prague seven months ago, I told him that I wanted to move to Paris. Following discussions between my human resources correspondent in Paris and my manager, the transfer was approved within a matter of weeks. My move to Paris was delayed until early July because of local constraints.

What is your job now?
I joined the Crédit Agricole CIB headquarters in Paris as a financial security officer in the Compliance department. I work mainly on notices about transactions involving embargo, asset freezing and Know Your Customer (KYC) issues. The subject matter is still financial security but it is more complex and international in scope than in Prague.

How did your induction period with your new team go?
I got a very warm welcome. There are around ten of us, and I work mostly with four members of the pre-trade team. I’m from Slovakia but attended university in France, so the language was not a problem. I also found management in both Prague and Paris open to mobility.

What benefits have you drawn from this new experience?
I have found new opportunities in Paris, I’m working at a more international level and I develop new skills every day. Working at head office gives me an overview of the Bank, allowing me to get to know the Group and its business lines better. It’s all very exciting.
