Marco Bessone: "Crédit Agricole CIB entrusts young graduates with real responsibilities on various projects"
Marco Bessone, a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst from Coverage & Investment Banking, describes his career path with the Bank following a Master's degree at the University of Turin and a Master's in management at ESCP.
What has been your career path with Crédit Agricole CIB?
In 2007, I did an internship with the Mergers and Acquisitions team, which enabled me to discover an extremely exciting, diverse business line. In 2008, I decided to pursue my investment banking career with Crédit Agricole CIB as an Analyst in the same team. The people I met there were committed professionals, capable of passing on their passion for finance to young graduates. They also taught me to constantly improve the quality of the service we provide to the Bank's clients.
How did your Crédit Agricole CIB induction period go?
The consistently pleasant atmosphere helped a lot with my integration into the company. Far from being a problem, the fact that I am Italian was an opportunity for cultural exchange with my colleagues.
What do you like most about your work?
The variety of the challenges that we have to tackle is what I like best in this job. The day-to-day business here is never routine. I’m fortunate to work on projects spanning different industries and different countries. That stimulates my curiosity and my desire to learn.
