"Junior members at Calyon are quickly integrated into day to day activities"

Testimony of Nico Schenck, Relationship Officer, Financial Institutions, Germany

Why did you choose to work in Calyon?

After a year of hands-on experience as an Merger & Acquisitions analyst for mid-cap transactions in Germany, I was looking for an investment bank with a global focus and a broad range of products and services. With Calyon, I not only joined a young investment bank with great potential but also with a ‘global footprint’. Within the financial institutions coverage in Frankfurt, we are in close contact with large German and Austrian banks, insurance companies, and public entities. Calyon is able to provide global solutions; a remarkable strength that is highly appreciated by our clients.

What are your daily responsibilities?

As part of the Financial Institutions client action team I support the Senior Bankers in analyzing client relationships with respect to product utilisation, profitability, cost of capital and earning potential. Moreover, I liaise with different business lines within Calyon worldwide to develop strategies and find the best suitable products or services for our financial institution clients in Germany & Austria.

Why would you recommend Calyon to your peers?

Motivation and commitment are key requirements to start a successful career at Calyon. Junior members at Calyon are quickly integrated into day to day activities, whether this involves client interactions, the exchange of ideas with specialists or the co-operation with other Crédit Agricole Group entities. This supports the learning curve of each individual and fosters talented people to give their very best to achieve a common goal, to serve our corporate and institutional clients.
