Hervé Goulletquer, Head of Fixed Income Markets Research

Biography

Herve Goulletquer is Calyon Head of Fixed Income Market Research and Market Chief Economist at Crédit Agricole SA since November 2007.

He began his career as an economist with Framatome (1982-1984), and then with Société Générale where he was in charge of tracking US and Japanese economic conditions (1984-1986). He headed the Economic Studies Department at Caisse Centrale des Banques Populaires (1986-1997), before joining former Crédit Lyonnais as Chief Economist in Paris (1997-2004). In 2004, he became head of the DRCP’s Country and Portfolio Risks Department at Calyon (2004-2007).

Between 2001 and 2006 Herve Goulletquer chaired AFEDE the French Association of Corporate Economists (Association Française des Economistes d’Entreprise).

He lectured at Sciences Po Paris, at the IAE Paris and at Clermont-Ferrand University. He acted as an expert for “Association Progrès et Management” clubs, a training network for French chief executives which is close to the MEDEF, the French Business Confederation. He participated in a number of working groups for the French Administration (Banque de France, Ministry of Finance and the French Prime Minister’s offices). He is often quoted in the press and has written several articles in various publications.

Hervé Goulletquer holds a Masters in Econometrics, a postgraduate diploma (DEA) in Economic Conditions and Economic Policy and is a graduate of the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises in Paris (IAE). In 1995 he completed a course at the Groupe Banques Populaires’ management training institute (Centre de Perfectionnement au Management CPM), which trains the Group’s future senior executives.
